This Privacy Policy describes how AiyuChat ("we", "the App") collects, uses, and protects your personal information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
By using AiyuChat, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the App.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you sign up using Google or Apple OAuth, we collect:
- Email address (from OAuth provider)
- OAuth provider identity (Google/Apple account ID)
- Display name (optional, customizable)
- Avatar image (optional, customizable)
2.2 Device Information
For service optimization and troubleshooting, we collect:
- Device model
- Operating system and version
- App version
- IP address
- Device identifiers (for push notifications)
2.3 Location Information
To provide personalized responses, we may collect approximate location (city-level) through GPS. This feature requires your permission and can be disabled in device settings.
2.4 Conversations and Content
To provide AI assistant services, we process and store:
- Text messages you send to the assistant
- Voice recordings (converted to text for processing)
- Images you share (for multimodal understanding)
- Conversation history (for context and memory features)
- Assistant customization settings (name, voice, personality, etc.)
Sensitive Information Warning: Please do not share sensitive personal information in conversations (such as passwords, ID numbers, bank card numbers, medical information, etc.). We do not need or expect to collect such information.
2.5 Usage Data
We track the following usage data to improve our services:
- Login/logout timestamps
- Session duration
- API token usage for quota management
- Feature usage patterns
2.6 Subscription Information
If you subscribe to a paid plan, we also collect:
- Subscription status and tier
- Purchase history (processed through Apple App Store)
- Subscription expiration date
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide AI conversational services and generate responses
- Maintain conversation context and memory features
- Sync your data across devices
- Personalize responses based on your preferences and location
- Authenticate your account and manage sessions

- Send service notifications (such as subscription expiry reminders)
4. Third-Party AI Services
To generate AI responses, we send your messages to third-party AI service providers. We may use the following providers:
- Google - AI language model service
- OpenAI - AI language model service
- Anthropic - AI language model service
- Alibaba Cloud - AI language model service
When you send a message, it is transmitted to these providers for processing. These providers have their own privacy policies governing how they handle your data. We may select one or more of these providers based on service needs, and may add other AI providers in the future.
5. Information Disclosure
We only disclose your information in the following circumstances:
5.1 Service Providers
We disclose information to the following types of vendors to provide services on our behalf:
- Data storage providers (server hosting)
- AI model providers (conversation processing)
- Payment processors (Apple App Store)
- Push notification providers (Apple APNs)
- Analytics providers (Firebase Analytics)
5.2 Advertising Partners
We may disclose certain information to advertising partners to deliver advertisements within the App. This includes:
- Device identifiers for ad targeting
- General demographic inferences based on usage
You can opt out of personalized advertising in App Settings. Opting out does not remove ads, but makes them less relevant to you.
5.3 Safety and Legal Requirements
If we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary, we may disclose information to:
- Protect or defend AiyuChat or other parties' rights
- Respond to legal requirements (such as court orders, law enforcement requests)
- Prevent fraud or illegal activities
5.4 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will notify you when such situations occur.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use the following tracking technologies:
- Device identifiers: Used to identify your device for push notifications
- Session identifiers: Used to maintain login state
- Analytics tools: Firebase Analytics to understand app usage (can be disabled)
- Ad identifiers: IDFA (iOS) / GAID (Android) for ad targeting (can be limited in device settings)
You can disable analytics data collection in App Settings. Push notifications require device identifiers; disabling push notification functionality will stop collecting this data.
7. Data Storage and Security
7.1 Storage Location
Your data is stored on servers located in the United States.
7.2 Data Retention
We retain your data until you delete your account. After account deletion, your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
Some data may be retained longer for legal compliance or security purposes:
- Account deletion records (30 days, for account recovery)
- Security logs (90 days, for security auditing)
7.3 Security Measures
We implement industry-standard security measures:
- Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
- Encrypted storage of authentication tokens
- Access controls and authentication
- Regular security monitoring
Please note that no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access: View your profile, settings, and conversation history within the App
- Correction: Update your profile information and preferences
- Deletion: Delete individual messages or clear conversation history
- Account Deletion: Request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data
- Data Export: Export your data via Settings page
- Disable Location: Disable location collection in device settings
- Disable Analytics: Disable Firebase Analytics in App Settings
- Limit Ad Tracking: Limit ad tracking in device settings (IDFA/GAID)

9. Regional Rights
9.1 European Users (GDPR)
Our legal basis for processing your data includes: performance of our contract with you, your consent, and our legitimate business interests.
You also have additional rights: data portability, right to object, right to restrict processing. Contact us if needed.
9.2 California Users (CCPA)
We do not "sell" your personal information. You may request disclosure of information categories collected in the past 12 months.
You have the right to: know what we collect, delete your information, opt out of data "sales" (we don't sell), and not be discriminated for exercising your rights.
10. Children's Privacy
AiyuChat is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has used AiyuChat, please contact us to delete their data.
11. Conversation Review
In rare cases, authorized personnel may review de-identified conversation snippets to troubleshoot technical issues or investigate violations. Please do not input private personal information or sensitive details in conversations.
12. International Users
Your data is stored on servers located in the United States. By using AiyuChat, you consent to this data storage location.
13. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Significant changes will be notified through the App. We encourage you to review this policy regularly.
